Maryanne Golsan is partner at Golsan, Ziff & Ziff. Since being admitted to the California Bar in 1993, she has devoted her practice exclusively to the domain of family law, becoming a Certified Family Law Specialist in 1999. Ms. Golsan has more than fifteen years of experience in working on cases ranging from mediated settlements to the most highly conflicted, litigated international family law matters. From each of her many clients, Ms. Golsan has learned lessons in life as well as in the law. To this experience she adds her unique background and abilities. Coming to the study of law after years of traveling and living in different parts of the world and working in many different non-legal areas, Ms. Golsan brings personal experience of growth through change as well as a sensitivity to cross-cultural issues to her practice. Born in Atlanta Georgia in 1951 Ms. Golsan grew up on the East Coast and in France. As a young adult she moved to France where she studied, taught, did translations and eventually married into a French family. After returning to live in the US, she moved to Los Angeles where, on a jury duty assignment, she decided on a career in the law and returned to school where she received several honors, including in community property, and in her practice has been recognized for her work, including for obtaining the return of abducted children. In keeping with her diverse background Ms. Golsan maintains ongoing contact with the European family law community. For the last fifteen years, she has had the pleasure of working with a variety of international, interstate and local cases, clients, judges, experts and colleagues from the supportive and congenial atmosphere of a small family law firm in Los Angeles.

Attorney Ronald Ziff was born in Culver City, California where he grew up and works today as a partner at Golsan Ziff & Ziff. Having devoted the last 20 years of his legal career exclusively to family law, Mr. Ziff became certified as a family law specialist in 1994. He is an active and respected member of the family bar in Los Angeles. Mr. Ziff has served both as a judge pro tem and as a mediator in Los Angeles County for more than 15 years and has served on the Board of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists. Through his up to date knowledge, legal acumen and years of experience in family law, Mr. Ziff brings a tough but practical and result oriented approach to family law litigation and negotiations. He also brings to the table his nonlegal background as the owner operator of a successful local business which he ran before he began practicing law. His former clients frequently refer others to him for smart and successful legal work. Mr. Ziff has a depth of experience in all aspects of family law litigation. He also has significant expertise as a mediator, drafting Qualified Domestic Relations Orders and in the collection of family law judgment. 

Hali E. Ziff, a partner with Golsan Ziff & Ziff, was born in Santa Monica, California and grew up in the southern beach communities where she makes her home today. As an undergraduate she attended both the University of California at Los Angeles, and at Santa Barbara. She attended Loyola Law School, graduating in 1986 and was admitted to practice that same year. When Ms. Ziff started practicing family law in 2004, she was already an experienced and successful negotiator and litigator, handling mostly complex business and real property cases in state and federal courts, including appellate work, and representing institutional and entrepreneurial clients. Consequently, Ms. Ziff was able to successfully represent family law clients in complex litigation involving both custody and financial issues. When Ms. Ziff was approached to practice family law, she had no idea how much she would appreciate the very human aspects of the practice. Family law has allowed Ms. Ziff to combine her knowledge of the law with her early interest and studies in social and community work. Ms. Ziff has been involved for many years working directly with children, young adults and persons with developmental disabilities, and serving on several Boards of Directors for non profit corporations, including Westside Regional Center, H.O.M.E, Culver Marina Bar Association and Congregation Tikvat Jacob.
